Treatment of Respiratory Tracts using Essential Oils

Treatment of the Upper Respiratory Tract
1. Vaporising using "sauna oil" with the thermal pot:

fill the pot halfway with water, plug into the power supply and set the adjustment knob to the centre position. Do not allow the water temperature to go above 75°C! Add two teaspoons of oil.

2. Nebulising the medication with the compressor.

Unscrew the nebuliser, fill the lower portion with the medication and close tightly. Place the nebuliser on the small nozzle of the breathing tube and plug into the wall holder from above. (the thick hose nozzle prevents slide-through.)
Then, firmly push the air hose, which is attached at one end to the air connection on the compressor, onto the nozzle at the bottom of the nebuliser. The compressor may exhibit initial difficulties at low temperatures. In this case, allow the unit time to warm-up before connecting the air hose to the nebuliser nozzle. When the compressor is switched on, the medication is nebulised to a droplet size of 1-6 microns and thus, becomes respirable.
Rinse the nebuliser thoroughly after each use.

3. Nebulising medications with the Ultrasonic Nebuliser KU-2000.

Fill the medication container with the medication as well as saline - camomile fluid. After filling the nebuliser pot of the the KU-2000 with contact fluid, place the medication container in the nebuliser pot. Place the lid on the pot with the hose connection lined up straight with the unit. The KU-2000 has a nebulising capacity of approx. 4.5 ml/min. This means that a large vapor quantity with a respectively high percentage of the smallest particles is continuously available for the duration of the nebulisation.
