Wächtomat B2-Combi

The Wächtomat B2-Combi is a combination of sweat monitoring together with a vaginal monitoring unit.

Typically, the mare's birth canal widens prior to the foal's birth.

The Wächtomat B2-Combi makes use of this form of birth indicator.

The dilation is measured by two magnetic pins which your veterinarian sutures into the mare's vulva across from one another. When a previously determined threshold value is exceeded as the amniotic sac and the foal's legs are being passed, the Wächtomat B2-Combi reacts and triggers an alarm.

Using the respective probe for sweat monitoring, vaginal monitoring or both probes simultaneously, the Wächtomat B2-Combi can guarantee to virtually 100 % the safe monitoring of the induction of labour.

In the event that the foal is in the wrong position, whereby its expulsion is not possible, the vaginal monitor alone will not suffice. As such, for the good of the mare and the foal we recommend the combined monitoring.
